Suspect Arrested for Rape
(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Special Victims Unit have charged and arrested a suspect in connection with a rape investigation that occurred on June 7, 2017.
Samuel Zachariah Lilly, (W/M, 32 years of age), of the 400 block of Crystal Circle has been arrested and charged with 1st Degree Rape, 1st Degree Kidnapping and Felony Strangulation. The victim was an acquaintance of the suspect at the time of the offense.
Lilly was apprehended July 8, 2017 without incident and taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he received no bond.
There is no further information to release.
