Update to Traffic Fatality-Road Re-Opened

Traffic Fatality-Road Closed

(Fayetteville, NC) – The operator of a motorcycle was traveling on Yadkin Road when it collided with another vehicle.

On March 15, 2023 at approximately 7:35 p.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the 5400 block of Yadkin Road for a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Upon arriving on scene, officers located a male involved in the collision on the roadway. The male was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. His identification is being withheld until family is notified.

All lanes of travel on Yadkin Road are currently closed from Santa Fe Drive to Brookfield Road. Motorists will need to utilize an alternate route.

The Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit have assumed the investigation, and the investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
