Death Investigation

(Fayetteville, NC) – On January 15, 2023 at approximately 11:09 am officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a residence along the 5300 block of Docia Circle in reference to a suspicious subject laying in the backyard.  

When officers arrived on scene, they located a deceased subject in the backyard. The decedent’s identity has not been confirmed.

Members of the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death.  Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
